Licence & Accreditation — Junk Car Removals (Brisbane)

Last updated: 12 October 2025

We keep things simple for sellers — fast quotes, free local pickup, and same-day deals for cash for cars Brisbane — and we’re just as serious about compliance. Below is an at-a-glance list of our licences, insurances and third-party accreditations, plus how our downstream partners are vetted.

1) Business & insurance

  • ABN: [Insert ABN]

  • Public Liability Insurance: [Insurer / Policy #]

  • Workers’ Compensation (WorkCover Queensland): [Policy #] — Queensland employers who hire workers must hold accident insurance for work-related injury/illness. (business.qld.gov.au)

2) Heavy vehicle compliance (for our tow/tilt services)

  • NHVR compliance: Our vehicles and operations follow the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator framework (for vehicles >4.5 t). (tmr.qld.gov.au)

  • NHVAS (if applicable): [Module: Maintenance / Mass / Fatigue] — The National Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Scheme recognises operators with audited safety systems. (If enrolled, we’ll provide current certificate details on request.) (nhvr.gov.au)

3) Refrigerant & air-conditioning systems (vehicles we buy)

When end-of-life vehicles still contain air-conditioning refrigerant, we ensure the gas is recovered by ARC-licensed professionals — never vented. Australia requires:

  • Refrigerant Handling Licence (person) and, where relevant, Refrigerant Trading Authorisation (business) under the Ozone Protection and Synthetic Greenhouse Gas framework. (arctick.org)

If recovery is done by a partner workshop, we only use providers that hold current ARCtick credentials. (Ask us any time and we’ll share the licence details.)

4) Waste & environmental authorities (QLD)

End-of-life vehicles contain regulated wastes (oils, coolant, batteries, etc.). We and our downstream partners manage these streams lawfully:

  • Regulated waste transport (ERA57 Environmental Authority) — where applicable. In Queensland, transporting >250 kg of regulated waste generally requires an EA for ERA57 and participation in waste tracking. We either hold the necessary authority or contract licensed transporters and facilities. (business.qld.gov.au)

  • Licensed receivers. Fluids, batteries, tyres and scrap go only to sites authorised to store/treat/recycle those materials. Ask us for the facility and manifest details for your pickup. (business.qld.gov.au)

5) Product stewardship & industry programs

  • Tyre Stewardship Australia (TSA) — We preference TSA-accredited collectors/recyclers so tyres are processed through transparent, lawful end-uses. (Accreditation is a formal recognition of responsible tyre management across Australia.) (tyrestewardship.org.au)

6) Data protection & privacy

  • Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We collect only what we need to quote, book, verify ownership and complete the purchase; we secure records and never sell personal information. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7) How we vet downstream partners

  1. Licence check (ARCtick, ERA57 EA, NHVR where relevant). (arctick.org)

  2. Scope match (the facility is authorised for the exact waste/activity). (business.qld.gov.au)

  3. Documentation (manifests/waste tracking retained and available on request). (business.qld.gov.au)

8) Show me the paperwork

Need to confirm a licence, accreditation or policy? No worries — message us with your pickup date and we’ll provide:

  • certificate of currency (public liability / WorkCover),

  • heavy-vehicle compliance evidence (and NHVAS module certificate if enrolled),

  • ARCtick licence numbers or partner’s details, and

  • the Environmental Authority (ERA57) number for any regulated-waste transport relevant to your job. (nhvr.gov.au)
