Terms & Conditions — Junk Car Removals (Brisbane)

Last updated: 11 October 2025

Welcome to Junk Car Removals. We’re a local team helping people sell their unwanted vehicles quickly and responsibly — including same-day quotes and pickups for cash for cars Brisbane jobs. By using our website (junkcarremovals.com.au), requesting a quote, booking a pickup, or selling a vehicle to us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If anything here is unclear, please contact us before proceeding.

1) Who we are

“Junk Car Removals,” “we,” “us,” and “our” means the Brisbane-based business operating this website and vehicle-buying service. Our service area includes Brisbane, Logan, Ipswich, Caboolture and the Gold Coast.

2) What these terms cover

These terms govern your use of our website, quote requests, valuation and purchase of vehicles, towing and pickup services, payments, and any related communications (phone, SMS, email, or onsite).

3) Eligibility to sell

You warrant that:

  • You are at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts.

  • You are the owner of the vehicle or an authorised representative with written authority.

  • The vehicle is not stolen and is free of undisclosed encumbrances (finance, security interests).

  • You can provide sufficient identification and ownership evidence when requested.

4) Service area & availability

Pickups are available across Brisbane and surrounding regions (including but not limited to Chermside, Carindale, Mt Gravatt, Browns Plains, Springfield, Ipswich CBD, Caboolture, Helensvale, Southport, Robina, and nearby suburbs). Availability may vary on weekends, public holidays, severe weather, or peak periods. We’ll offer the earliest practical time window.

5) Quotes & valuations

  • How quotes work: Quotes are based on information you provide (make, model, year, condition, missing parts, accident history, registration status, location access) plus current market and recycling values.

  • Accuracy: If details differ at pickup (e.g., substantial damage not disclosed, major parts missing, flood/fire damage, vehicle is not as represented, access is unsafe), we may adjust the quote or decline to purchase.

  • Validity: Unless stated otherwise, quotes are valid for a short period due to market fluctuations. Acceptance after that period may require a requote.

6) Vehicle condition & access

You agree to:

  • Disclose known issues (engine/gearbox faults, write-off status, hail/flood damage, missing catalytic converter/battery, etc.).

  • Ensure the vehicle is accessible for a standard tilt tray or tow truck from a safe location (driveway, street, or accessible yard).

  • Remove personal belongings and number plates if you intend to keep them (where permitted). We are not responsible for items left in the vehicle after collection.

If access requires special equipment (e.g., blocked brakes, bogged vehicle, underground car park with height limits), additional steps or time may be needed, and the quote may change.

7) Ownership, ID checks & PPSR

We may request photo ID and documents (registration certificate, disposal/transfer forms, proof of authority where acting for someone else). We may perform PPSR or similar checks. If we cannot verify lawful ownership or the vehicle appears stolen or encumbered, we will not proceed and may refer the matter to authorities where required.

8) Encumbrances (finance owing)

You must disclose any finance owing. If a payout is required:

  • We may pay the financier directly, and pay you any surplus; or

  • You arrange the payout and provide evidence before we purchase.

If undisclosed finance is discovered later, you remain liable for all resulting costs, losses, and claims.

9) Registration, plates & paperwork

  • Registered vehicles: We can purchase registered vehicles; however, registration and transfer processes vary. If you intend to claim a registration refund or keep plates, remove them before pickup (where lawful) and advise us.

  • Unregistered vehicles: We buy unregistered, damaged, or statutory write-off vehicles for parts/recycling.

  • Paperwork: We’ll guide you through required forms at pickup. You agree to sign all documents necessary to transfer title.

10) Payment terms

  • How we pay: We typically pay by electronic methods (e.g., bank transfer) and may provide a remittance. Payment timing depends on banking networks and cut-off times.

  • Compliance: Where industry rules require specific payment methods and record-keeping, we follow those rules.

  • Price adjustments: If the actual vehicle condition differs materially from what was described, we may revise the offer on site. If you decline the revised offer, no sale occurs and no payment is due.

11) Title transfer & risk

Title to the vehicle passes to us only after both: (a) payment is initiated/confirmed as agreed; and (b) you sign the transfer/sale documents. Risk in the vehicle passes to us when it is safely loaded onto our truck.

12) Cancellations, no-shows & waiting time

  • You cancel: Please let us know as early as possible. No fee for reasonable notice.

  • No access/no-show: If we attend at the agreed time and cannot access the vehicle, or you are not present to authorise the sale, we may charge a reasonable call-out fee to cover costs.

  • Waiting time: We allow a fair on-site wait. Excessive delays outside our control may incur a fee or require rebooking.

13) Hazardous materials & safety

You must disclose hazards (fuel leaks, LPG systems, sharp debris, asbestos fragments, biohazards, unsafe location). We may decline to collect until hazards are made safe. Our team can refuse service if site conditions are unsafe.

14) Website use

  • Content: All website content (text, images, logos, layout) is owned by or licensed to us. You must not copy, republish, or misuse site content without permission.

  • Acceptable use: You must not attempt unauthorised access, inject malicious code, or scrape our systems.

  • Third-party links: We’re not responsible for external sites. Use them at your own risk.

15) Estimates, testimonials & marketing material

Any prices, examples, or testimonials on the website or social media are illustrative only and not binding offers. Actual offers depend on the specific vehicle, condition, and location on the day.

16) Recycling & environmental commitments

We aim to recycle responsibly via licensed facilities and dismantlers. For details on how we handle fluids, batteries, tyres, and metals, please review our Recycling Policy. Where practical, we’ll prioritise reuse and certified recycling streams.

17) Licences & accreditation

We operate in line with relevant industry requirements and local guidelines. See our Licence & Accreditation page for current details. If a licence number is required to be shown to you on request, we’ll provide it at pickup or during booking.

18) Privacy

We handle personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy (which forms part of these terms). By using our services, you consent to our collection, use, and disclosure of personal information as described there.

19) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties, guarantees, and conditions not expressly set out in these terms. Where liability cannot be excluded (e.g., under the Australian Consumer Law), our liability is limited to the lesser of:
(a) re-supplying the services; or (b) paying the cost of having the services supplied again.

We are not liable for:

  • loss of income, time, or opportunity;

  • incidental or consequential loss;

  • items left in the vehicle; or

  • events beyond our reasonable control (see Force Majeure).

20) Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses arising from:

  • your breach of these terms;

  • inaccurate or incomplete information you provide;

  • sale of a vehicle you were not authorised to sell; or

  • undisclosed encumbrances or legal issues with the vehicle.

21) Force majeure

We aren’t responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (extreme weather, industrial action, public emergencies, network or utility outages, or government directives). We’ll resume as soon as reasonably possible.

22) Changes to services or terms

We may update our services, pricing approach, or these terms at any time. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects a booking you’ve already made, we’ll use reasonable efforts to notify you.

23) Complaints & dispute resolution

We value Brisbane-level straight talk and quick fixes. If you have a concern, contact us first so we can investigate and resolve it promptly. If a dispute arises that cannot be resolved informally, either party may seek remedies available under Queensland law.

24) Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
